Antonio Barrantes, owner of Finca Herbazu, cultivates his coffee with respect for the environment. Perched at an altitude of 1,500 meters, this 12-hectare farm, two of which are protected for biodiversity, produces exceptional coffee, free of any chemicals.
Grown on the slopes of six mountain ranges in the Naranjo region (Barranca, Cañuela, San Juanillo, Los Robles, Lourdes, and Sabanilla), the coffees of this terroir derive their aromatic richness from the altitude and steep terrain. Between 1,300 and 1,700 meters above sea level, these plantations benefit from an optimal microclimate, enhancing the quality of each bean.
Harvested at perfect ripeness, the coffee cherries are rigorously selected before being processed by a local cooperative. This meticulous care guarantees an exceptional aromatic profile, faithful to the unique identity of this region.
Tips from us: the coffees we selected are well for up to 3 months after roast, often presenting their best flavours after at 4 weeks.
